Our society is the oldest and first C.A.R. society in the state, organizing in 1925, disbanded briefly in 1955, and reorganized in 1959. Our society is named for a pioneer woman named Hallie Orme Thomas (pronounced Hal'-ee Orm Tom-us), credited as the first Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) woman in Arizona.
Meetings are held monthly, August through April. Business meetings are typically scheduled on a Sunday, 2-4pm, at the home of a family member. Some meetings will be activities in the community. Contact us at [email protected] for details.

- Pool Party Planning meeting in August
- March in the City of Surprise Veterans Day Parade
- Lay wreaths for Wreaths Across America at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix
- Participate in the national C.A.R.'s Day of Service
- April FUN meeting where members simply enjoy time together at a location of their choice
